The HKIMR accepts applications for Doctoral Internship on an ongoing and highly competitive basis. The length of the visits is typically three months. Applicants are invited to submit proposals consistent with the Institute's research interests and priorities.
We especially welcome applications on the following themes:
1) Technological innovation in financial services: Implications for social, economic and market development;
2) New markets for green and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)-related investments;
3) Recent developments in the microstructure of financial markets and their impact on market quality and financial stability;
4) Climate risk: measurement, management and financial stability implications
Applicants should be enrolled in a PhD program in economics, finance, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are in the final stages of writing their PhD dissertation and who are conducting research on issues of interest to the Institute.

Successful applicants will be offered travel and accommodation allowances (for interns from overseas) and a daily stipend.
