Module 4 – How the financial industry is transformed by fintech and digitalisation

On 15 June 2021, the Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF) conducted a webinar on “How the financial industry is transformed by fintech and digitalisation” under the Thematic Programme on Fintech and Digitalisation. Over 160 AoF Members and senior practitioners in the financial industry participated in the webinar.

Mr Piyush Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of DBS Group, introduced DBS's successful digital transformation journey and shared his views on the evolving financial services landscape amidst the rise of fintech and digital banks. Ms Vanessa Colella, Chief Innovation Officer of Citi, shared her insights on a wide range of subjects related to Citi’s strategies in investing in solutions and technologies critical to the future success of the industry. Finally, Mr Simon Pomeroy, Head of Digital and Customer Experience of Citi Global Consumer Bank, Asia Pacific and Mr Vishal Kapoor, Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions of Citi Hong Kong shared their experiences in digitising the bank from both consumer and institutional perspectives respectively.
