The AoF held a conversation session with Richard Clarida, Global Economic Advisor, PIMCO on 12 July 2023.  The session was moderated by Darryl Chan, Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Deputy Chairman of the Academy.

Clarida shared his insightful analyses on inflation, possible monetary policy and interest rate moves, the Fed’s decision making dynamics, and the US economy. He also discussed the impact of geopolitics, artificial intelligence and ESG initiatives, etc. The audience also got an opportunity to know the lighter side of Clarida’s life such as the songs he wrote and the albums he produced.
