HKIMR-IMF seminar on “Navigating Through a Challenging World”

The HKIMR and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Hong Kong SAR Sub-Office co-hosted a seminar successfully on “Navigating Through a Challenging World” on 17 April 2023. 4 experts from IMF shared their views and analyses on the topics such as “The Global Economy: Prospects and Policy Issues”, “The Natural Rate of Interest: Drivers and Policy Implications”, “Geo-Economic Fragmentation and Foreign Direct Investment” and “Geopolitics and Financial Fragmentation Implications for Macro-Financial Stability”.  These are analysis chapters of the most recent issue of World Economic Outlook and Global Financial Stability Report by IMF.

The IMF team includes Dr John Bluedorn, Deputy Division Chief of Research Department, Dr Jean-Marc Natal, Deputy Division Chief of the Research Department, Dr Ashique Habib, Economist of the Research Department and Dr Tomohiro Tsuruga, Senior Financial Sector Expert of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department.

The seminar was attended by more than 50 participants.
