On 16 December 2021, the AoF and the Civil Service College (CSC) co-organised a seminar titled “Leveraging on Hong Kong’s Competitive Edge as an International Financial Centre” as one of the inaugural events of the CSC of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The seminar was attended by around 120 civil servants in the directorate as well as middle and senior ranks. The seminar started off with a talk by Mr Darryl Chan, Executive Director (External) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, on the recent developments in Hong Kong's financial services industry, followed by an expert panel discussion. Apart from Mr KC Kwok, CEO of the AoF, who served as the moderator, the other expert speakers included Ms Bonnie Chan, Head of Listing of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited; Mr Cheah Cheng-hye, Co-Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Value Partners Group; Mrs Ann Kung, Deputy Chief Executive of Bank of China (Hong Kong); and Mr Edward Moncreiffe, Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Life (International).

This is the first collaborative event between the AoF and the CSC, more such events would be organised in the future.
