Dialogue with Insurance Authority

Mr Stephen Yiu, Chairman of the Insurance Authority (IA) and Mr Clement Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of IA, had an interactive dialogue with 2023 FLP cohort at the AoF office on 16 August 2023.
The dialogue is moderated by Mr Mark Tian, Chief Financial Officer, Wealth and Pensions, Sun Life Hong Kong. During the dialogue, Mr Yiu and Mr Cheung discussed the visions and missions of the IA. These include diversifying the insurance product pool and their approach to supervision and enforcement. They also exchanged views on how to leverage Hong Kong's role in contributing to the needs of Mainland China's insurance market. Meanwhile, IA is unleashing social values by promoting public education on insurance. The main goal is to further improve Hong Kong insurance industry’s competitiveness and sustainability.
