Kee Win is Managing Director, Co-Head, Treasury Markets, Greater China and North Asia and Hong Kong, Treasury since Feb 2023 after acting in an interim capacity from May 2022. In this role, he is responsible for managing the Bank’s interest rate and liquidity risk on the banking book for the region. This includes managing the Bank’s regulatory requirements such as ratios/reserves as well as ensuring that the Bank has an appropriate funding strategy to meet planned balance sheet growth and unanticipated contingencies.
Kee Win joined Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia in 2006 as an International Graduate with short stints in Labuan, China, and Vietnam. He joined the Treasury Markets (TM) team in Hong Kong from 2008, first in Liquidity Management before moving on to TM Credit and Investment Management. From 2013 to 2019, he was the Head of TM in Standard Chartered Bank Taiwan. Immediately prior to his current role, he was the Head of Liquidity Management for TM for the Greater China and North Asia (GCNA) region, based in Hong Kong.
Kee Win grew up in Malaysia and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He also has a Master of Science in Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from SBS Swiss Business School. He is a certified CFA, FRM and PRM and married with two children.
