Jonathan Wong is a partner in Clifford Chance’s litigation and dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong. He represents banks, private equity, insurers, securities companies and other financial institutions in their largest and most significant matters.
Having tri-lingual capabilities (English, Mandarin and Cantonese), Jonathan's work notably includes advising on the role and conduct of sponsors of Hong Kong initial public offerings, allegations of commodities price-fixing, control failures, market misconduct, data breaches and listed company compliance. He has significant experience representing clients on matters involving the SFC, HKMA, IA, MPFO, HKEX, HKPF, Competition Commission and more.
Jonathan is a contributing author to textbooks and industry guides on regulatory compliance and white-collar crime, is recognised in legal directories as a "Rising Star" and "Up and Coming" partner in financial services regulatory, and with his fellow partners leads a top-ranked dispute resolution and regulatory team at Clifford Chance.
