Ms Carol Lam

Ms Carol Lam is currently the Director, Head of International Business Compliance
of Ant Group and the Alternate Chief Executive of Alipay Financial Services (HK)
Limited. She joined Ant in 2020 where she has been responsible for Regional
Compliance of North East Asia. In her current role, Carol spearheads regulatory
analysis and advices in relation to payment channels and acquiring models for
international business across the globe. She also runs the Transformation division that
drives RegTech development.
Carol has extensive experience in technology and financial services sectors through
her various roles working in both industry and consulting. Prior to joining Ant, Carol
served as the Director at Deloitte Risk Advisory, specialized in providing advisory
and assurance services to financial institutions. Started off her career as a financial
auditor, Carol was also the former Financial Controller of a joint venture investment
arm established by China Construction Bank International.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the
University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants. She has been invited to serve as seminar speaker in
various industry and business forums.
