Dr the Hon David LI Kwok-Po,

Dr the Hon David Li Kwok-Po is Executive Chairman of The Bank of East Asia, Limited.
Dr Li has played a key role in the development of the financial services industry in Hong Kong. He was a Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong representing the Finance Constituency from 1985 to 2012, and a Non-Official Member of the Executive Council of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from 2005 to 2008.
He is Chairman of The Chinese Banks' Association, and a member of the Council of the Treasury Markets Association. He has previously held numerous other appointments to Government advisory boards in the financial services sector.
In addition to his commitment to the industry, Dr Li is active in public service. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army Hong Kong and Macau Command; Chairman of the Executive Committee of St. James' Settlement; and Chairman of the Executive Committee of The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong, which runs the Prince Philip Scholarship Scheme. He also serves on the Hong Kong Red Cross Advisory Board and the Community Chest of Hong Kong.
Dr Li is the Pro-Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong and an Advisory Committee Member of The Chinese University of Hong Kong S.H. Ho College. He is President of The Légion d'Honneur Club Hong Kong Chapter Association Limited and Chairman Emeritus of the Asian Youth Orchestra.
Dr Li is a Director of several prominent local listed companies, including Guangdong Investment Limited; The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited; The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Limited; and Vitasoy International Holdings Limited. He previously served on the Boards of a number of leading public companies in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Dr Li holds a degree in Economics and Law from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
