The author of Macroeconomic Theory and Policy and of numerous articles in professional journals, his primary fields of interest are international economics and economic development. He has served on the senior staff of the Council of Economic Advisers, as deputy director of OECD Project Interfutures, and as a consultant at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and has taught as visiting professor at several European universities.
