On 25 November 2019, Dame Minouche Shafik, Director of London School of Economics and Political Science and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, spoke on the topic "Optimism in the Past, Pessimism in the Future?" with AoF Members and senior management from various fields of finance in Hong Kong. Dame Minouche had a candid conversation with participants sharing her views on the current issues we are facing in the global context and the responses to these challenges and opportunities, as well as the role of social contract in driving economic and social development worldwide.
