Mathew has been the Executive Director of Business Finance for DBS, Hong Kong since 2018. He covers several business lines, including Corporate, SME, Financial institutions, Consumer banking, and Private banking. He and his team provide finance coverage for both Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area businesses; some of his earlier roles had APAC-wide coverage, including China.
He is a versatile banker, with more than 20 years of experience, spanning business finance, product control, balance sheet management, liquidity/cash management, and wealth management. He started his banking career with HSBC Bank and subsequently worked with global institutions including Standard Chartered Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Barclays Bank, and a London-based hedge fund. He moved to Hong Kong in 2005, and has been based here for the majority of his career.
