Cynthia Li joined the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority in 2003 as Legal Counsel and has been leading the Enforcement Division since 2014, responsible for various enforcement functions of the Authority in relation to employers, MPF intermediaries and MPF trustees. She has overseen the enforcement aspects of a number of transformational initiatives including the Default Investment Strategy launched in 2017 and the ongoing eMPF Project that aims to digitalise and automate MPF scheme administration and will reshape the MPF landscape.
Cynthia started her career as a barrister and later became a solicitor doing commercial and corporate work, with a focus on private equity investments.
Cynthia is admitted as a solicitor in the Hong Kong SAR and England and Wales.
